You need to find your way at the university and department, get used to the city, or even the country if you come from abroad. Which formal obligations do you have? How to join a graduate school? What are your rights and obligations as a PhD- candidates appointed at the university? We, members of the PhD council of the Experimental Plant Sciences graduate school, would like to help you out with this. We provide you with important startup information, also about how to join your local graduate school. When extra information or guidance is needed you can always contact the designated EPS PhD council member. He or she can link you to a buddy at your local university.
